Lady Gaga is the latest musician to kick off her own residency in Las Vegas, opening her Engima show at MGM’s Park Theater on December 28. The early reviews are in and according to fans, the show is Ra ra ra ra ra ra-mazing. As if we expected anything less.
Mother Monster continued her hot streak from 2018, which included her Golden Globe-nominated starring role in A Star In Born, and performed her first of more than 20 Enigma shows (Gaga will also perform five jazz and piano shows).
If you missed the first few nights of Enigma, we feel your FOMO. The show will run until November 2019, so there’s still time to see Lady Gaga perform in the one city in the world where she could be considered understated. But if you’re like us and can’t wait, there’s always social media sneak peeks. TGFCD. Thank God For Céline Dion.
The Canadian superstar and reigning residency queen was on hand at the opening night of the Enigma show, which also included Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom in the audience. Dion posted a video of herself dancing to the 21-song set that clocked in at two hours.
The pair posted a prom pose photo following the show, proving that divas support divas. And we support that. Gaga dedicated her performance of “You and I” to Dion, saying “You’re legendary, you’re supportive, you’re kind. This time, I’m not leaving without you, c’mon, Céline!”

Gaga has been sharing behind the scenes videos from Vegas residency, including a look a the making of the CGI portion of the show where she portrays her alter-ego Enigma.
Performing a cover of David Bowie’s “I’m Afraid of Americans,” as well her biggest hits like “Bad Romance,” “Born This Way,” “Poker Face,” and “Just Dance,” Gaga took dance breaks to address the crowd and talk about her incredible career, including the recording of her latest single “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.
“For a really long time I felt so misunderstood about the way I dressed, the way I talked, my attitude,” said Gaga. “They thought it was shallow. I’m so proud to be this far, but the truth is, you gave birth to me.”
