Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry And More Performing At The iHeartRadio Music Awards

The lineup for the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards has just been updated with some of the biggest artists in music! Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, Noah Cyrus, Big Sean and Thomas Rhett will be joining previously announced performer Bruno Mars during the packed award show which airs live on Sunday, March 5 at 8 pm on CTV Two.

Katy Perry returned with new music earlier this month, dropping her first single since 2016’s “Roar” with the protest pop anthem “Chained To The Rhythm.” Perry performed the new single during Sunday’s Grammy Awards, where she used her performance to encourage fans to fight for their rights and the rights of others.

Ed Sheeran was also on hand on Sunday night, returning to the Grammy stage to perform his latest single “Shape Of You.” Sheeran’s third studio album Divide is set to be released on March 3, with a new track called “How Would You Feel” dropping Friday.

Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry are also scheduled to perform at the 2017 Brit Awards, airing Wednesday, February 22 at 8 p.m. ET on Much.

As for the nominations for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, Canadians are heavily represented, with 6ix God Drake leading charge with 12 nominations, including Song of the Year for “One Dance.”

Bieber and his album Purpose, as well as his numerous collaborations and cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” helped the singer earn six nominations this year.

Shawn Mendes is up for Best Cover Song and Male Artist of the Year, with the Mendes Army nominated for Best Fan Army.

The Weeknd, who dropped his video “Reminder” today for his birthday, is up against fellow Canadians Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes and Drake for Male Artist Of the Year, with country singer Luke Bryan the only non-Canadian nominated in the category. The Weeknd is also nominated for R&B Artist of the Year.

As for first time nominees, Alessia Cara earned a nomination in the Best New Pop category, with Toronto rapper Belly scoring a nomination for Best New R&B Artist.
